His father and mother married for a political alliance when his father returned to the Leaf. His brother Itachi was born first but was found to be weak and sickly so he couldn't become ther heir for the Uchiha clan so they tried for another child. His father left his mother and him after he was born since he was chosen as the Uchiha heir since his older brother was weak but after seeing that he had both Sharingan and Byakugan he was displeased so he left taking his older brother with him. Even though Itachi was taken with his father he and Izuna would still meet up and train all the time. Izuna was one of the youngest you join ANBU at the age of 10 which is highly unheard of. He still does team mission as well as ANBU missions.
